Rental agreements and security holds

In Rentals

Collect the agreement and security hold before equipment leaves your control.

  1. Open the reservation and verify the customer, rental period, items, fulfillment details, and charges.
  2. Generate or send the rental agreement.
  3. Ask the customer to review the terms, damage protection choice, and return obligations, then collect the electronic signature.
  4. Place the configured refundable security hold on the card. A hold is an authorization, not the rental charge.
  5. Confirm the agreement is signed and the hold succeeded before checkout.
  6. Keep the signed PDF with the reservation for later reference.

If a signature or hold is missing, resend the request or complete it at the counter. Do not mark the rental out until both required steps are complete.
