In-Lane Ordering with NFC & QR Code

In Self-serve Kiosks

In-Lane Ordering transforms your shooting range lanes and physical spaces into direct order destinations. Designed for premier indoor ranges, this feature enables a concierge-style ordering experience that helps increase revenue per lane — without requiring customers to leave their lane or wait for staff.

Who Is This For?

In-Lane Ordering is best suited for:

  • Premier indoor ranges looking to maximize revenue per lane

  • Ranges that want to offer a concierge-style experience to customers

  • Facilities using compatible hardware (tablets, NFC tags, or QR codes)

Ordering Methods

Taplo supports three ways for customers to place in-lane orders:

1. QR Code Scanning

Customers use their phone to scan a QR code placed at the lane. This opens a mobile ordering interface where they can browse and purchase products directly — no app download required.

2. NFC Tap

Customers tap their phone on an NFC tag placed at the lane to instantly access the ordering experience. Fast, contactless, and intuitive.

3. Tablet Ordering

For ranges equipped with supported tablets, customers can order directly from a dedicated in-lane tablet. Currently supported hardware includes:

How It Works

  1. A QR code or NFC tag is placed at each lane (or a tablet is mounted at the lane).

  2. The customer scans, taps, or uses the tablet to open the Taplo interface.

  3. They browse available products and place their order directly from the lane.

  4. The order is sent to staff for fulfillment — no lane interruption needed.

Key Benefits

  • More revenue per lane — customers can easily reorder ammo, targets, rentals, and more without leaving

  • Reduced staff burden — orders come in digitally rather than requiring manual check-ins

  • Flexible hardware support — works with what your range already has or with simple NFC/QR setups

  • Seamless experience — consistent interface whether ordering via phone or tablet

Setup Requirements

  • An active Taplo account with the In-Lane Ordering feature enabled

  • QR code assets (provided by Taplo) placed at each lane, and/or NFC tags programmed with your ordering link

  • For tablet ordering: a compatible Rushing Ranges, Action Target, or Range Systems integration (see availability above)
